Enrichment | Independent Research | Increase Reading Fluency

Brienza’s Academic Advantage continually looks to provide students and their families with the most effective and innovative programs.  Our newest program is Tune in to Reading, a reading intervention program that won The Wall Street Journal’s 2007 Innovation of the Year Award for software.  Four years of independent research and over 3,000 students nationwide prove that struggling readers gain an average of more than one grade level in just 9 weeks.   

The program consists of students working with a computer program that uses music, singing and lyrics to improve a child’s fluency.  As student’s fluency is improved, they will also work on improving their reading comprehension skills and the scope of their vocabulary.  Tune in to Reading is geared toward students who are behind in their reading level. 

We are offering Tune in to Reading in our Brooklyn and Staten Island locations.
